Psychiatric Care

  • 24-bed, Child and Adolescent Unit  (5-17 years) provides treatment for mood disorders, depression, psychosis, post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety and ADHD
  • 16-bed, Older Adult Unit (60 years +) provides personalized care and support
  • Adult Unit (18-59 years)

Inpatient Substance Abuse Treatment

  •  This program is for both men and women who are addicted to drugs or alcohol, and provides inpatient detoxification under careful medical supervision

Enhanced Acute Treatment Service

  • Comprehensive inpatient service for those struggling with both substance use and mental health disorders.


  • An intensive outpatient treatment program for men and women with substance abuse problems, includes individual, family and daily group therapy, followed by weekly after-care group meetings

Driver Alcohol Education

  • Provides educational services for court-mandated, first offender DUI (driving under the influence) clients. Individual or group after-care treatment also is provided for second offenders.

  • Evidence-based medication-assisted treatment for opiate addiction in a non-judgmental, recovery-oriented, individualized manner

Brightside for Families and Children      (Call: 413-788-7366)

  • In the community, Brightside helps to build families and support individuals through family outreach and stabilization, psychiatric and medication evaluation and management, special education, support and encouragement (Bilingual Spanish speaking staff available)
